The Jhira Bagh Palace is a gorgeous palace, built on a sprawling estate, originally in 1865, situated at the tranquil countryside of Dhar district, near Mandavgarh (Mandu) !! The Palace was commissioned in the 19th century by His Royal Highness of Dhar, Maharaja Anand Rao Puar the Third !!

It has now been converted into an exclusive heritage palace for travellers, by the descendants of the erstwhile royal family !! The property houses its own farms, dairy, temples, wells and several old groves !! Besides the usual hotel amenities, the Jhira Bagh houses a children’s park, table tennis, billiards, a library and a museum !! Peacocks, deer, small owl, and other harmless animals and birds also reside on the Palace grounds !!

Maintaining the original architecture, Jhira Bagh offers 15 exclusive accommodations in three categories: Deluxe Room, Deluxe Suites, and Super Deluxe Suites, which are tastefully designed, bringing a lot of natural light during the day !! The Jhira Bagh also presents a great venue to mix some business with pleasure at the palace’s luxurious conference room featuring the original 22-foot solid Rosewood table and 24 hand-crafted chairs, all that were used by Viceroys and Governor Generals of India on their official visits to the Palace, back in the days of the British Raj !!
