Amidst a 40-acre working farm, Tafreeh Agro Park, Indore, is a celebration of undiluted joy of nature and agrarian culture !

Here, both the young and the old can relish the ecstasy of coming back to the roots ! Situated on the picturesque Malwa plateau on the outskirts of Indore, it is an ideal gateway for the city dwellers !

The visitor gets an opportunity to spend an entire day in an ambience that is a unique blend of urban and rural life !

The adventurous can enjoy angling and boating in Lake Pokhar, find their way through mind-boggling mazes, take bullock cart & tractor rides, or dive in a splash-pool and enjoy innovative nature based sports like the Tarzan’s Swing, the Monkey Bridge besides climbing up a machaan or sitting in a tree house ! The bravehearts can try scaling the high-rise walls of Betaal ka Quila !

For the laid back, relaxing on hammocks, watching the farm lads’ work, or sitting around brightly lit campfires, roasting the farm produce on its red-hot embers, or even playing with friendly farm pets can give immense pleasure !

Farm grown, fresh vegetarian snacks and meals available on prior order ! Consumption of alcohol/liquor is strictly prohibited on the premises !

A provision of camping has also been provided for urban students so that they can get first-hand experience of rural life and farming ! Dormitories and rooms are available for students and staff members for night stay ! The minimum numbers of students that can be entertained is 30 and the maximum is 160 ! Tafreeh is popular among school students, particularly from Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Gujarat !

A stay at Tafreeh also enables students to get an insight into agrarian management; rainwater harvesting and recycling of water ! Besides other agriculture practices, there is production of vermi-compost and the cultivation of medicinal and herbal plants ! A three or more day’s adventure tour for school students can be arranged !

If desired, short trips can be undertaken to a village and a handicraft industry, whereby students get to understand the socio-economic fabric of the Malwa region ! A crafts mela (fair) can be organised for visiting students, which will enable them to learn the traditional village crafts ! Be it adults on a day visit, or students camping at Tafreeh for a longer duration, they will always carry happy memories home !
