Kheoni Wildlife Sanctuary, established in 1955, is situated in Dewas District, Madhya Pradesh ! Spread over an area of 123 sq km, its rich dry deciduous forest, which mainly consists of teak and bamboo species, and is a home to a wide variety of flora and fauna ! Major animal species found here include chital, sambar, blue bull (Nilgai), four-horned antelope, wild boar and barking deer ! The sanctuary is also rich in birdlife ! The Sanctuary also has a number of tourist-spots !

For taking bath in the ‘Bal-Ganga’ river/stream which flows in the forest village of Kheoni, people come here 3-4 times every year ! There is also an ancient Shiv temple in the village, in which ancient idols of the god and goddess have been found !

Accommodation is available at the Forest Rest House of Kheoni !

Kheoni Sanctuary is situated in the forest of Kannod adjoining Ashta and Jeharwar Range of Sehore division ! It derives its name from forest village of Kheoni, which is situated in the heart of the sanctuary !

Cheetal, Sambhar, Blue bull (Nilgai), Four horned antelope, Wild Boar, Barking Deer, Wolf etc. !

Teak (Shisham), Bija, Saja, Dhawada, Khair, Baheda, Bamboo, etc. !
